Election of Officers

Election of Sergeant at Arms will take place on April 11, 2010.  Polls will be Opening from 7am to 12pm at Boyd Community Center, 1220 Powers Run Road. Any member in good standing will be able to vote.

You are in good standing if you have paid your 2nd Quarter of 2010.

Voting by mail

If you are unable to vote in person you will be able to vote by mail.  Please mail your request in writing to:

All requests should be done promptly to allow time to receive and return ballot on time.

All mail in ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, April 5, 2010.

At the next Executive Board Membership meeting (April 11, 2010) the following applicants will be voted on for membership.

Members wishing to comment on the admissibility of applicants must do so in writing and signed or in person at the meeting.

Motions from Executive Board Meeting March 14, 2010

·         George Jaber made a motion, for Local 489 to pay $50 per member to the PA Film Industries Association, for one year membership (2010).

·         George Jaber made a motion, executive approved payment for your $50 membership for a one year 2010 is optional.  Any union member may opt out, and their name will not be included.  If a union member chooses not to be a part of the PA Film Industries Association, please notify the secretary/treasurer in writing by March 26, 2010.  All union members contact information will be given to PA Film Industries Association, including emails, unless they opt out.
