Jobs Now Plan

The AFL-CIO has a five-point plan for what Congress can do to put America back to work.

CALL YOUR SENATORS TODAY AT 866-838-9757.

Tell them to put the AFL-CIO's five-point jobs plan into action.

The AFL-CIO's Good Jobs Now' plan calls on Congress to:

1.   Extend the lifeline for jobless workers by extending unemployment benefits, food assistance and COBRA health care benefits for at least 12 additional months.

2.   Rebuild America's schools, roads and energy systems with infrastructure projects that will put us back to work.

3.   Increase aid to state and local governments to maintain vital services.

4.   Put people to work doing work that needs to be done.

5.   Put TARP funds to work for Main Street by enabling community banks to lend job-creating money to small and medium-size businesses.
